Spooky Stories from Dangerous Corner
The 'Dangerous Corner' series started with Spooky Stories from Dangerous Corner. Many of the 25 stories in this first book were written for a friend to read on her live webcam stream during October 2021, so they're a little shorter and better suited to read aloud. I'm really proud of the 'campfire' storytelling style of this book, the mix of horror and humour, and the originality of the ideas.
Return Ticket to Dangerous Corner
The second instalment in the series has 25 longer, more detailed stories, along with five short items of bonus content (mostly poems). Again, these are all original works with a variety of plots and styles. While there are some references back to the first book, Return Ticket to Dangerous Corner also stands alone, with no need to read or remember the previous instalment.
Dark Nights at Dangerous Corner
In 2023 I published the third book in the series, Dark Nights at Dangerous Corner. If you enjoy suspense and spooky atmosphere, the deep descriptions in this book are for you. With 20 stories in total, each is longer and allows you to get fully absorbed in the characters and plot. Expect murder, monsters and occasional mayhem.
Time Scope 2020
Compiled by Matthew Rimmer during the first COVID-19 lockdown, Time Scope 2020 is an unofficial Doctor Who anthology featuring anecdotes from the show's cast and crew, as well as fan-made stories, poems and art. I contributed a short story and was delighted to appear under Janet Ellis on the front cover. Time Scope 2020 is a charity e-book with 100% of sales going to Scope. Twice Upon A Time Scope
There's nothing better than a Doctor Who Christmas Special, so for Christmas 2020, Matthew Rimmer again corralled a motley crew of fans and celebs into an unofficial anthology, Twice Upon A Time Scope. Again I contributed a short story, along with a reworking of the Twelve Days of Christmas lyrics with lines for each of the first twelve Doctors.
