I am a freelance writer for hire. I will tackle any subject for any format, including SEO content online and pages for print publications. I love learning about new subjects and can tackle technical content while making it understandable for a general audience.
I have owned and operated websites of my own since 1998. I studied BA Language, Literacy & Communication at the University of Manchester in 2003-06. After graduation, I worked for a major online news agency for five years and produced about 30,000 articles (this is not a typo).
Since 2011 I have worked as a freelance copywriter for clients all over the UK and internationally. I have produced website content for major household brands, but I especially love working with small businesses to create compelling copy on a reasonable budget.

Free Samples?
Because much of my work is subject to non-disclosure agreements and I work in many different industries, I usually can't provide specific examples of my past work.
Although I don't offer free samples, I am happy to provide the first page of an order for approval before we proceed with the rest. If you decide not to proceed and you do not use the page then there is no charge. If you decide not to proceed but you publish the content I wrote for that one page, then you must pay for it.
I think this is a fair and risk-free way for you to see what I can write specifically for you, before either of us is completely committed to the project. In most cases, customers choose to go ahead with their order, often with zero changes to the first page I supply.
There's no minimum order size. If you just need one page, I can do that. There's no long-term contract either, just hire me as and when you need me, either as your sole writer or as an extra pair of helping hands in busy times. I'm here for you.
